This is a journal set up to track the process of beginning to corset as well as help those who are starting out at the same time as me or after me.

I started sewing by sewing holes in socks that my mother gave me to fix. essentially it was my mother letting me kill socks by making them into big bundles of sock but hey everyone starts somewhere. My first "dress" was an American Girl Doll Jumper. I have a gift for it, and that's not meant to brag. I had better sewing skills than most people who start out and

I'd spent a lot of time reading and watching shows before I started sewing clothes for people. I've only sewn 7 full costumes in my entire life but I took to it with ease and haven't looked back since. However I'm like everyone else and have made my share of mistakes *shudder*. I sew for a theater up in Wisconsin known as Dare to Dream Theater.

I live in Chicago as a full time pre med student. It's a tough gig but somebody's gotta do it. Sewing is my stress relief though sometimes it can feel just as stressful if I make a mistake. I'm a perfectionist by nature in terms of what I make and so I always seem to want to talk my projects down until I can't look at them. I've come to appreciate my works that I've done, and I try to look at it in a different light now.

I dabble in both the Victorian and Steampunk genre's at the moment. While I am new to one and researchin the other, I amuse myself but thinking of what I'd create for wearing for each era or fantasy era. I'm looking to find like minded thinkers in Chicago. POKE ME! I LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE!
